Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how MadLife Stage & Studios(“MadLife,” “we,” “us”) handles information in the MadLife iOS app and on madlifestageandstudios.com. The short version: we collect very little, we keep as much as possible on your device, and we never sell your data.

Information we collect

• SMS Crew signup — name, email & phone

  If you join the MadLife SMS Crew through our signup form (powered by Hive.co), we collect your name, email address, and phone number. We use them to send you marketing texts and emails about shows, ticket on-sales, and deals.

• Push token & deals opt-in

  If you enable deal notifications in the app, we store your device's push token (issued by the Apple Push Notification service) along with your deals opt-in so we can send you deal notifications. That's all it's used for.

• Taste & genre picks — on your device

  The music taste and genre picks you make in the app are stored only on your device.

• Find My Tickets — email lookup

  If you use Find My Tickets, the app sends the email address you enter to our server, which uses it to look up your MadLife orders with Eventbrite and email you a verification code. We don't keep your email or your order details in a database: they travel in a short-lived encrypted token (it expires after 10 minutes) that is held on your device, and a one-way hash of your email is kept briefly in server memory for rate limiting.

• Random device ID — rate limiting only

  The app sends a randomly generated device identifier with some requests. We hash it and use it only for rate limiting to prevent abuse. It is not tied to your identity and is not used for tracking or advertising.

Ticket purchases

Ticket purchases are completed through Eventbrite, which opens in Safari. MadLife does not receive your payment details. Eventbrite handles that transaction under its own privacy policy.

Third-party services

The app and site work with a small set of service providers, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy:

• Hive.co — runs our email and SMS Crew marketing program (name, email, phone).
• Eventbrite — our only authorized ticketing partner; handles ticket purchases and order lookups.
• Apple Push Notification service — delivers deal notifications to your device.
• OpenTable — handles MadLife Grill table reservations.
• YouTube — some show pages include embedded YouTube videos, which load from YouTube when you view them.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Deleting your data

To request deletion of your data, email app@madlifegroup.com and we'll take care of it. Turning off notifications or deleting the app removes your push token.

Text messages

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See our SMS Terms for details.
