BKG is the solo progressive rock project of Brayden Godfrey, where every song is written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered entirely by one person but performed by 5. Blending technical musicianship with atmospheric songwriting, BKG explores the space between crushing heaviness and introspective melody, creating music that is both emotionally immersive and rhythmically complex.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Deftones, Dream Theater, Animals as Leaders, Meshuggah, Alice in Chains, and many others, BKG combines soaring textures, intricate time signatures, ambient soundscapes, and powerful riffs into a sound that is both familiar and uniquely personal. Rather than following trends, the project focuses on crafting music that rewards repeated listening, balancing technical precision with genuine emotion.
